Decorate With Dolls for the Occasion

Decorative dolls are one way to make a home more festive for holidays. Setting out a collection of showpieces for friends and neighbors to see is one way to get people more excited about the special day. Celebrate each season with decorations. Finding different ways to use the dolls as accents can prove to be both thought provoking and enjoyable. For those that have a number of different decorative dolls in the home to suit any occasion, the trend is to share them with visitors by arranging them in different rooms on shelves, bookcases, desks, tables, chairs and festive greenery.

Christmas
There is more to Christmas decorations for the home than stockings and a tree. Dolls, ornaments and figurines join in with any home decor to blast away the winter doldrums and spread holiday cheer. Use Christmas characters bedecked in green, red and white to help spice up every room in the house. When the time for decorating is done and it is time to wrap presents, don't forget to include a few of the new decorative dolls as gift ideas for Mom. Tie them on to the outside of a package or slip them inside a gift bag.

Easter
Easter and springtime go hand in hand. Seasonal decorations for spring include bunnies, ducks and friends preparing for a visit from the Easter Bunny himself. A decorative doll can be arranged with Easter grass and bright spring colors in the kitchen or living room - or to create a bright atmosphere for the season.

Halloween
Ghoulies and goblins are sure to add some enchantment to Halloween. The more Halloween decorations that are noticeable in the days before All Hallows Eve, the more excited the neighborhood children will be to visit on the spookiest night of the year. They will expect dressed up dolls. What they may not expect are hanging, hiding or flying characters with every costume imaginable from ghosts and witches to pirates and police.

St. Patrick's Day
'Tis the luck 'o the Irish that brings dolls dressed as leprechauns guarding a pot of gold. Shamrocks and kelly green are landmark signs that St. Patrick's Day has arrived. Decorating a home for the traditional Irish holiday adds a splash of fun and excitement to any humdrum weekend. For an extra bit of enjoyment, throw a party and put up some streamers for the decorative dolls to hang on to.

Seasons
Winter, spring, summer and autumn decorations bring their own collection of fun with snowmen, and characters frolicking in leaves and blooming flowers. Accent the home with a welcome of each season for decoration.
