Planning Seasonal Celebrations

10 things that make a successful Seasonal Celebration

1. Everybody is thinking in advance how he/she will spend their Holidays, especially Christmas, New Year and Easter. That's why, if you are planning to organize a Seasonal Celebration Party, you should send invitations in advance too, so that everybody take it into account as an option. Otherwise, by the time your invitation reaches people, they would have already made other plans.

2. The best part in planning Seasonal Celebrations is that you don't have to choose a theme, this being given by the occasion itself. There are many symbols and patterns related to each Seasonal Celebration that you can use to make your party special.

3. Think of a budget when you are planning Seasonal Celebrations. There are many products out there and you will be tempted to buy all of them. That's why it is important to set a budget limit. According to the budget limits you set, you will go on planning the rest of the details.

4. Establish the menu long before. If it is a small Seasonal celebration, you can take into account your guests' food preferences. Include traditional dishes, upon the occasion.

5. Carefully choose music. Include in the playlist songs specific to the celebrated Holiday: Carols for Christmas, patriotic songs for 4th of July, religious songs for Easter, Irish music for St. Patrick's Day. For the New Year's night the "music" can also be created by some noisemakers to be used at midnight.

6. Use thematic decorations. There are decorating elements that should not lack, depending on the Seasonal Celebration: silver and gold stars for New Year, Santa Claus decorations for Christmas, eggs and bunnies for Easter, pumpkins for Halloween, shamrocks for St. Patrick's Day; national flags for 4th of July.

7. Use a dominant color, depending on the Holiday. For Christmas this must be red, for St. Patrick's Day green, for 4th of July blue and red.

8. Set a dress code and mention it in your invitations. Ask your guests to come dressed in thematic colors and provide them with specific items like blinking Santa hats, Christmas bell necklaces, masks for Halloween, Irish magic hats or green afro wigs.

9. If your budget allows it, prepare small gifts for your guests, like a Holiday Candle for Christmas or an Easter Gift Basket.

10. Be the Ceremony Master of the Party. Depending on the Holiday, put on a Santa costume, a Cat in the Hat Costume, a Shamrock vest or even a Leprechaun girl costume. You will cheer up everybody.

Seasonal Holidays are opportunities to escape daily routine. That's why it is important to plan their celebration ahead and do everything in our power to enjoy them to the fullest.
